Re: Fascinationg video

Cool stuff.

Raymond's building is about an hour from my house, though it was completely taken down and turned into a Target store.
Moog's place in Trumansburg is now a pizzeria called Little Venice.
Times gone, times remembered.

Cheers,
Marcelo.

Re: Modern digital audio world rules!

@spogg Roland has recently bent reality by releasing the Jupiter X, which rather than being a software based on a synth, is as synth based on a software.
So technically it is not a picture of a perfectly working synth, but a synth of a perfectly working picture.

Re: Modern digital audio world rules!

This is a virtual analog synth I made. I have used a few tricks to make it sound as "analog" as I could.
I think it came out nice.

Took me a couple days to make it, would have taken forever to make a real one, lol.

I might migrate it to FS soon.

Re: Modern digital audio world rules!

What I see happen with the audio "world" is the same I saw happen with photography some time ago.
The "film/paper" purists were all fighting the digital, saying that the digital photo wasn't able to give the same quality of the film.
The same purists that today take their pictures on full-format ...

Re: Memories!

OMFG! (which means: Only Music For Good)
So much good music here. We should put it all together in an album called "The Flowing Stones".

@Spogg - Daaaamn Duuuude (which in Somali means: Shuuuut Uuuup) "Tubes in Tubes" took me on a good trip. You can close your eyes and place a movie on top of it ...

Re: Memories!

And talking about sharing music, here's a couple tunes I put online recently.

"Look at the Stars" is just me playing with some voice sample I found. It is more or less a "droning" tune.
"Waterfall" is a small melody that stuck to my head while showering, and then my son Ian put a chord progression ...

Re: Memories!

@Tulamide this is really cool.
It is amazing to me how life influences music.
I did a post long ago to my Facebook regarding how things we get through in life end up in our music. I personally do not think much of my music, because I was always an electronics guy and synthetist more than anything ...

Re: Remote access to data inside modules.

Thanks for the replies.

Yes, after my previous post I started thinking about an "object oriented knob" as the best possible solution.
So it goes towards the idea of having a Ruby master class, or global class, whatever we call it, which I extend to form the objects I want to make multiple copies of ...

Re: Remote access to data inside modules.

Well ... nothing like exchanging with gurus.

So, Spogg is right, the lesson was learnt loooong ago when I made my Ableton Push controller. Get the first knob right, do it first, and THEN make 64 copies of it. I will probably just go and re-do the knobs.

For Pshannon, yes, this is what I had in ...

Remote access to data inside modules.

Hi Folks,

I have recently developed a small patch editor for my Sledge synth using Flowstone.
The Sledge is a stripped-down version of the Waldorf Blofeld, with many parameters unavailable from the front panel, but reachable/usable via SysEx, so I made a small editor to create a patch with modified ...
