I got a question for you.

Post by tor »

Looooong time, no see. I have not been logged on here for ages.

I am concidering to make an automation system for beer breewing with Flowstone and Phidgets. How well does Flowstone work on Windows 8.1 64 bit? How well does exported exe's work on similiar? I have to know this before I consider to upgrade from SM to FS.

Hi tor,
I am using a Win 8.1 tablet as my virtual bass effects rack. It runs an exe exported from FS. Works well. It is a 32 Bit Windows though.

32bit apps work normally on 64bit win81. The only thing you have to remember - even if you have a lot of memory, 32bit apps will reside in the range of less than 4GB.

For what it's worth, I use 8.1 64 bit, and have exported exe's to both XP and 7 with no problems. This is using 3.07 though.

Hi

Was always interested in virtual bass algo's. Whats the signal chain of these? Filter (out the bass) then add harmonics as a function of input level and add back the high frequency? Is that the main thing here?
