Stair Stem to midi, how?

Hello gang,

In this very simple example, what would be the best way to convert the Sample and Hold output to midi to drive an oscillator like the steps (c, d, e, f, etc. or whatever. Just an example, NOT the true notes of course)?

Many thanks, BobF....

[color=#008000]Hi Bob,
I just came across this post and I cobbled together something that might help you.
It's a start, anyway.
I'm guessing that you could extract the numerical values that you need from the ruby code LED outputs.
This would require a change in output types, etc., and since I have very limited knowledge (NONE) of Ruby code, hopefully you can do this.
Keep me posted !

Hi again BobF,
Here's that MIDI note extractor for you !
My first idea doesn't give you the MIDI notes, 0 thru 127, this one DOES !
And it's Dead Simple !

Let me know what you think,
