Willing to buy copious amounts of beer for samchillian-like

Post by DruMunkey »

Here's a couple examples of what I'm looking for:

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/quik...965206554?mt=8

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DbOIBIwg_E4

Another example I just found but it's an OSX stand-alone... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=URjnyzQMcPE

Basically, I'd like to have a plugin that allows me to set:

The Scale (worst-case just white key CM scale and I'll remap post plugin if I have to)
The "starting note" (most likely the scale root plus and octave modifier)

MIDI Note x steps up scale X steps & plays note
MIDI Note y steps up scale Y steps & plays note
MIDI Note z steps down scale Z steps & plays note
MIDI Note v plays "current" note
etc...

I need a way to have more control over melodic passages (without resorting to sequences or loops) using pads on my eDrums and having a few pads (like an octapad) dedicated to pulling off something like the samchillian would fit the bill PERFECTLY

I've worn theGoogle out looking for this, so I'm pretty sure it would be a unique plugin. Could I beg a FS guru to whip out something? I don't need a fancy UI. Hell, I don't need any UI... I just need text fields and sliders.

I'll be using this in Reaper and Usine if that makes any difference.

PM me, or reply or whatever if you'd be interested and we can set a fair price.

Thanks!!!

Hi,

Seems like a possible development with flowstone platform, but I would like to know how are you aiming to develop it:
As a pure midi based plugins, or it should combine midi and audio at the same vst unit? As I understand from the videos, the samchillian is nothing but a midi controller. It doesn't reproduce any sound.

It just needs to be a midi plugin. Or midi instrument. Don't care. Think of it as a specialized midi note translator or something like that. No need for internal sound or anything.

Interface could just be a few sliders:

Key:
Scale: (i.e. The basic steps that are permitted http://jythonmusic.org/index-page_id=167.html)
Root note=60
Step: +1 = 30 <- just an example midi note
Step -1 = 31
Step 0 = 32
Step reset = 33 (this option would reset internal step pointer to root note)
Repeat like 10 times for more step controls so you could have 4 up, 4 down, one 0 step, 1 reset, and a "spare" :)

Nothing? It seems to me that this little idea should be a piece of cake for someone that knows Flowstone, if Flowstone is still being used and is a powerful as I've read. If something like this idea is not possible, or its so difficult that it's not worth doing to make a few easy bucks... Either way, not exactly a ringing endorsement for Flowstone it seems.
