New Gain Rider named LA Ride (Beta)

Post by wlangfor@uoguelph.ca »

HI all, I made this tonight because I needed a gain rider. I need to change the colour just slightly but I'm happy so far.

Here it is:
[new version on last post]

I haven't got presets working yet, but will.

They choose Your threshold of +db and -.

So, if You want silent sounds to be louder, the bottom one higher, and if loud but less so, the high one closer to the lower.

It's a way of controlling peaks that is not limiting. It's exponential governance by means of amplitude percentile.

I'm also going to add a great code by Sam Mungall which is a db matching prog. It does something the same but You can set the overall desired volume. I thought I would make that an option.

Here's the updated beta. Most presets work, but not the sliders (yet).

Check out the newest that seems to work in the way of presets. I'm not sure about automation though.

Also, I need to restyle and order the presets by label and #, add labels, vst info and such. But a working example.
