Dis-able PreSet Manager control of a Selector module

Post by RJHollins »

Hope this is a simpler question then some of the recent issues we have faced

Now using the PreSet Manager in the first project, and noticed that it does indeed monitor anything and everything that has Preset module inside ... this is a 'good thing'. :D

But now I find that I have situation in which I have a component [Selector Pull-Down Menu], that has a single entry [static]. For visual continuity, I'm using it in conjunction with an 'User Edit' field to allow custom numbers to be assigned to these several Menus [this is from a Configuration section].

I've had notice that cycling through the Presets, that some fairly random settings can happen. I've gone in and established a preferred 'default' value in each Preset [did this manually] ... but I have these 4 Selector Menus that I really don't need the Manager bothering with ... so he wonders ....

Can I just snip off the wireless feed INTO the PARAM primitive to prevent any changes happening to this Selector Menu ???

Hope this makes sense ...

Thanks!

*** edit ***

I should add ... there is a DEFAULT setting on the Properties page of these Selectors ... but I've never gotten them to Default ... or really do anything ... what is that for ??!

Yes, but why not just remove the preset module?

Well ... ahhh .... OK ... me can do

Just seemed I was having to disturb a trio of wires :o and caused concern for things like 'Trigger Order' and such.

Like I mentioned ... this PM is a new beast to me ... so I'm rassling him ... gingerly.
