How to control knobs in Ableton using MIDI CC

Post by incubatorjones »

Hello all,
I am a relative newb to Flowstone but am decent with programming.
But for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to control the Flowstone knobs in Ableton.
If someone could show me an example that would be great.
I tried to take the Moog Filter, set it's knobs to MIDI CC and set a number in that is available in the MIDI CC world;
saved it as a VST;
brought it into Ableton and tried accessing the Cutoff and Res knobs using Abletons MIDI Map Mode as well as using Cableguys Midi Shaper (and MIDI Yoke) but have no luck and am getting more confused the more I try.
Can someone take that Moog Filter and show me how to get those knobs to respond in Ableton so that I can modulate them?
Much thanks and appreciation!

you need a presetmanager and activate automate inside your knobs preset modules then you can do normal automation without midi cc

Thanks Nubeat for the reply but I am relatively new to Flowstone and do not know what you mean by setting up a Preset Manager and such. Can you be a little more detailed so I can get a hold of this thing? Thanks again!

simply integrate the presetmanager (from toolbox) on the toplevel of your schematic and inside the knob module in the preset part you need to set automate and preset to true (take care that each parameter has an unique presetname)
after that you will be able to automate each parameter in your DAW
