5 x foldback

Post by Nubeat7 »

hello, actually i'm experimenting with foldback and i'm not sure whats the best way to do it.

i also found out that there are often just one side (mostly the positive part) is folded while the other is not..

here is schematic with 5 stages of folding back from a threshold level and back up again when it reaches the zero level.
My Question, is this a common way to do it? ist there a better algorithm? and i didn't find some good maths to fix the volume in a proper way....
